The Harrisville Harbor Commission functions as an autonomous entity of the City of Harrisville, and oversees and governs all harbor activities. The commission is comprised of seven members, including Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.

Also included on the commission roster is both Harbormaster and Bookkeeper/Secretary. Harbor management and daily operation responsibilities are delegated to the Harbormaster position, thereby reporting to the commission.

Funding for Harrisville Harbor is derived from dockage, fuel and retail sales revenue - independent of city or state financial assistance. General donations also contribute to harbor revenue.

The Harrisville Harbor Commission is responsible for on-going operations and financial decision making. Board meetings are conducted eight times annually on the first Thursday of the given month, and are open to the general public.

Announcements are posted at the harbor office 72 hours prior to each meeting.  It is the mission of the Harrisville Harbor Commission to provide the boating community an uncompromising facility and services surpassing all expectations.
